Lakeeren Contemporary Debuts at Grand Hyatt Mumbai with “Cosmic Frequencies”

Mumbai welcomes a bold new cultural space as Lakeeren Contemporary opens at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. A collaboration between Namita Saraf and curator Dr. Arshiya Lokhandwala, the gallery merges the hotel’s legacy with Lakeeren’s three-decade commitment to progressive contemporary art.

More than a gallery, Lakeeren Contemporary is a platform for critical inquiry, artistic innovation, and interdisciplinary dialogue. Located at the Grand Hyatt Plaza, it aims to engage the public with thought-provoking, conceptually driven works.

Opening May 15, 2025, the inaugural exhibition Cosmic Frequencies: Consciousness and Quantum Cosmology in Art features prominent Indian and international artists including Anju Dodiya, Atul Dodiya, Shilpa Gupta, Mithu Sen, Thukral & Tagra, and others. The show explores the connections between science, metaphysics, and perception.

“This is a space where art, learning, and cultural exchange meet,” said Namita Saraf. Dr. Lokhandwala added, “We’re committed to presenting art that responds to the complexities of our times.”

Lakeeren Contemporary offers Mumbai a powerful new venue for visionary artistic expression and global dialogue.
